GSL attained NVOCC licence for mainland China operations
The China Ministry of Communication has formally approved GSL application for licence to operate as an NVOCC entity in China.
With this licence, GSL will now be able to perform it's NVOCC activitives and also earn the rights to issue GSL Bill of Lading.
The approved accreditation number is : MOC-NV03966.
A monetary deposit has also been made as this is a requirement for the approval of the licence. Hence, cargo owners interest are protected since the deposit acts as a surety in the event of any commercial claims against GSL.
All GSL offices are now encouraged to engage the China market with confidence in view of attainment of this licence
